Flight information!

This is a pretty nice web application for your iPhone that fulfills what a widget on OS X does. The Flight Tracker widget can be very useful if you fly frequently. Often when you are about to take the plane, however, you are not at home. That is why getting this on your iPhone makes this feature many times more useful! It will give you the stats about the flights, including the departure and arrival time and whether the flight is delayed. You can check it out at http://mobile.flightstats.com/go/Mobile/

There is one already available at this iTunes App Store link. It's a shameless plug but there you have it. There's an early version of a feature in it that lets you email your itinerary.

FlightTrack for iPhone is here!

More info on FlightTrack

It's helpful for tracking your own flights and itineraries while on the go, or keeping tabs on family and friends en route. In addition to a smooth, intuitive user interface, it features cool real-time flight maps so you can see exactly where your incoming flights are.

I travel around the World at least once month from Wellington, New Zealand and am constantly prone to delayed or cancelled flights and my business contacts and family are constantly trying to understand when I am landing so that they can reach me.

I have therefore created an iPhone application that gives live departures and arrivals information for any flights at any given airport around the World. You can find an overview of the application at http://www.3dot5.net/blog/world-flights/ .

There is also a draw to win an ipad everytime a milestone of 10,000 download is reached on the AppStore, more information can be found on: http://www.3dot5.net/blog/win-an-ipad-with-world-flights/
